With one weekend down, it's time to see who climbed (and fell) the most in our Texas-only Division 1 Baseball rankings:

7.   Dallas Baptist (2-1)
            Last Week Ranking: 4

Question: Why is 2-loss Texas and 2-loss Rice ahead of undefeated Baylor in these rankings. Answer: Because Texas and Rice played each other, and Baylor played Niagara. But, since beating Niagara is better than losing to Niagara, the Bears do move up 2 spots from last week.

            This Week:
2/21 - @ Texas A&M
2/24-2/26 - @UT San Antonio

Tyler Kendrick notched 7 hits in 15 at-bats to go along with a stolen base. The 2-2 Lumberjacks visit College Station on Tuesday.

16.  Texas A&M Corpus Christi (1-2)
            Last Week Ranking: 16
            Last Week Record:1-2

One of the most dramatic opening day wins you'll ever see, as the Islanders scored 6 times in the 8th to erase a large deficit. They could not keep the momentum going, however, and dropped the final two games and the series to Bradley.

17.  Incarnate Word (2-2)
            Last Week Ranking: 20
            Last Week Record: 2-2
Game Scores: Saint Louis: L 6-3

            Last Week Record: 0-4
            Game Scores: Michigan State: L 9-2, L 9-7, L 19-7, L 15-4
            This Week:
2/24-2/26 - North Dakota State

The first Big 10 school ever came to Abilene. And then they saw. And then they conquered. Luis Trevino is hitting .571 through 4 games.

19.  Prairie View A&M (1-3)
            Last Week Ranking: 21
            Last Week Record: 1-3

University of New Orleans: L 14-0
            This Week:
2/22 - @Incarnate Word
2/2-2/26 - @UT Rio Grande Valley

Disappointing trip to New Orleans for the MLB Urban Youth Invitational, as the Panthers came away with only 1 win. Corbin Jamison hit .357 with 3 stolen bases on the weekend though.

20.  UT San Antonio (1-3)
            Last Week Ranking: 17

            This Week:
2/24-2/26 - Stephen F. Austin

Apparently Quinnipiac does more than polls. Winning only once in a season-opening 4 game series at home stings for the Roadrunners. On a brighter note, Trent Bowles clubbed 2 homers and Trent Trabanino got the victory on Saturday with 5 solid innings of work.

21.  Texas Southern (0-4)
            Last Week Ranking: 19
            Last Week Record: 0-4
            Game Scores: @UT Rio Grande Valley: L 11-4, L 12-2, L 9-0, L 5-4 (10)
            This Week:
2/24-2/26 - @Jackson State

Best chance for a victory against UT Rio Grande Valley fell through the cracks in 10 innings on Sunday. The Tigers look to rebound this week against Jackson State.
